Paleo Hot Chocolate, this is probably the smoothest, creamiest hot chocolate I have ever had. Maybe it’s the canned coconut milk and coconut cream, combined with the raw cacao powder, but either way it is divine. So rich and chocolaty, you will love this easy, stovetop version.
I know some of you are thinking why not just drink the normal store bought pre-mixed version, right? Well, you know that it’s important to ditch those weird, chemical-based ingredients that only cause inflammation and havoc in your system, right? Well, below is a list of ingredients in your usual Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa (This is just one example label, depending on which variety your purchase, ingredients may differ):
Now, I’m not trying to shame anyone here, but rather educate others on the harmful effects on continually ingesting harmful ingredients pushed to us by the normal Western SAD (Standard American) diet. After 40 years of eating this type of stuff my body has paid for it, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to reverse those adverse effects. Okay, off my soap box and back to this deliciously rich homemade Paleo hot chocolate.
Canned coconut milk, coconut cream, raw cacao powder and a little organic cane sugar and you’ll be sipping on this deliciousness by the fire in no time!
Paleo Hot Chocolate Recipe:
Paleo Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 2 cups canned coconut milk
- 2 tbsp. raw cacao powder
- 1 tbsp. coconut cream
- 4 tsp. organic cane sugar
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a medium-sized saucepan and whisk together.
- Heat on medium-low until warm and serve.
