Why coconut oil for a coffee creamer? Coconut oil seems to be a trendy fad these days – bulletproof coffee, fatty coffee; it goes by many names. For every article you can find that lists the health benefits of consuming coconut oil and it’s MCTs, you’ll also find opposing articles telling you to stick with less saturated fats. So, if you’re interested in the health science behind coconut oil in your diet – I urge you to do your own research on the topic. However – I do consume coconut oil in moderation and I do like using coconut oil in my coffee as a great dairy-free and gluten-free alternative for coffee creamer. When blended with my coffee – the coconut oil creates a velvety coffee drink that reminds me of my old latte days.
Ingredients needed
- 3/4 cup coconut oil – softened
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. cacao powder
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
How to make Mocha Coconut Oil Coffee Creamer
Combine ingredients in a small mixing bowl.
Using a spoon, stir to combine.
Note – there may be small chunks of coconut oil but that is okay.
Store in an air-tight jar at room temperature.

A creamy gluten-free and dairy-free mocha coconut oil coffee creamer - just four simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup coconut oil - softened
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. cacao powder
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a small mixing bowl.
- Using a spoon, stir to combine. Note - there may be small chunks of coconut oil and that is okay.
- Transfer to an air-tight jar and store at room temperature.
- Add from 1 tsp. to 1-2 Tbsp.* to your coffee and blend to thoroughly combine.
