Cooking steaks has never been easier with the air fryer! I love a good, juicy ribeye steak, but sometimes I don’t feel like firing up the grill or smoking up the house with a pan-sear. So, the air fryer is the perfect solution! You still get that same delicious flavor, juicy, perfectly-cooked steak in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients Needed:

two raw ribeye steaks and rosemary and garlic on a table
  • 2 8-10 oz. ribeye steaks
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Santa Maria seasoning
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic – mashed
  • 2 fresh sprigs of rosemary
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter

Recipe FAQs and Variations

Do air fryers cook faster?

Air fryers heat more rapidly than traditional ovens so there’s no waiting on time for pre-heating. Air fryers also tend to cook about three to five times faster than a conventional oven.

Can you cook frozen steak in the air fryer?

I have not tested cooking a frozen steak. However, I would assume you could, but the result would be tough and you would need to increase the overall cooking time. I would suggest thawing the steak first before cooking.

Recipe Variations

  • Omit the rosemary, if preferred.
  • Use any steak seasoning
  • If your ribeye steaks are thin, decrease the cooking time to 6-8 minutes.
