How much meat and cheese per person on charcuterie?
A general rule of thumb is 3-4 slices of meat per person, and 1-2 oz. of cheese per person. From there you can add in the additional items, also based on your guest count.
Can I make a charcuterie board ahead of time?
You can slice the cheese and any fruits the night before and refrigerate in an air-tight container overnight. You can also fold any meats and place them into a glass storage container to refrigerate overnight.
How big should a charcuterie board be?
- 2 people boards – use a small rectangle board (8×10) or round board (8-10 inch)
- 4-6 people boards – use a medium to large rectangle board (11×14) or 12-14 in. round board
- For large groups – use a large rectangle or round board (20+ inches) or use multiple boards
