Air Fryer Mushroom & Steak Bites

How many times have you heard me say how air fryer recipes make weeknight dinners so dang easy! But, I also hear your concerns around cooking for more than just two people using the air fryer. This mushroom & steak bites recipe is one that can easily be doubled in the air fryer for a family of four or more!

Ingredients needed

a bottle of mushroom and garlic olive oil laying on a table next to cubed raw ribeye steak and sliced portobello mushrooms

For this recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 1 pound ribeye steak
  • 1/4 cup Olive Tree Mushroom Garlic Olive Oil
  • 8 oz. sliced portobello mushrooms
  • 1 tsp. Santa Maria seasoning

Note – if you’re unable to get the mushroom garlic olive oil, simply use 1/4 cup olive oil with 1 Tbsp. minced garlic.

5. Cook in the air fryer at 400 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes, opening to toss about halfway through. Depending on how done you prefer the steak, begin checking at the 8 minute mark.

6. When done, remove from the air fryer basket and serve alone or with a side such as gnocchi (as pictured in my recipe), cauliflower gnocchi, mashed parmesan potatoes, blue cheese polenta, or cauliflower mash.

This looks wonderful . I just unpacked my COSORI AF and happen to have a steak but need to get the mushrooms tomorrow as well as try to find the Mushroom Garlic Olive Oil. I have Sprouts and Fresh Market in my neighborhood and bet one of them will have it.
What do you consider the best cooking spray for the basket? I have Spritzers of EVOO and Avacado
Oil. I also have Pam but have heard that should not be used.
    Thanks.

Hi! If you’re unable to find a mushroom garlic olive oil, you can add about 1 tsp. of minced garlic to your plain EVOO to add in that garlic flavor! For the basket, I use an EVOO spritzer. I would avoid using any aerosol sprays like Pam, they will gunk up on your basket. Any oil spritzer should work, or just brush some oil on if needed. I hope you enjoy your new air fryer!
